What to expect as an Aid Station Captain
We provide all aid stations with a standard supply package that is delivered before the race. Below is a link to the aid station supply list. Aid station captains are welcome to purchase additional items for their stations, and we are happy to reimburse those expenses. We simply ask that they coordinate with our Volunteer Coordinator in advance.
We do not supply alcohol as part of our aid station or finish line inventory. Ornery Mule Racing does not provide or encourage alcohol consumption during our events, as we do not believe it has a place in an endurance race environment.
Open Volunteer spots needed to fill
Volunteer needs:
We have a really fun spot by Hwy 59 that needs a crew. You can sit there with a bucket of ice water, and encourage the runners to cool down! While at the same time reminding them to stop and wait for the road to clear to cross.
DNF Suburban driver- work a shift picking up dnf runners and hearing their stories. It is a rewarding job to get to hear their stories.
REgister to volunteer below
The trail & ultrarunning community is amazing and we get a ton of volunteers for the race. We still always have many volunteers that work a lot of hours to create a great race experience for the runners. Your help can make a big difference in our community! Please consider volunteering! We have options before, during and after the race.
